Avec Pourquoi nous avons faim, recueil de romans miniatures sur l'absence, la mort, la solitude et l'amitié ; recueil de fables minimalistes de valeur inégale où le médiocre – comme Il y a certaines choses qu'il devrait garder pour lui, ce titre suivi de cinq pages blanches et qui tient plus de la performance potache que de la littérature – côtoie l'excellent, les textes ciselés, le rire jaune qui balaie l'humour noir.
